Our client, a homeowner based in Bedfordshire, was on the hunt for architects to help with their property in Biddenham. They contacted Amico Design and tasked us with completely transforming their home from porch to garage. We conducted a measured survey, planning drawings and planning submission.

Our Solution
When this client first showed us their house, the potential was clear to see. This impressive property had so much to offer, but both the exterior and interior had become dated over the years. However, with some care and craftsmanship, this house could become something extraordinary.
At the entrance to the property, we designed a stylish front porch to flood the doorway with natural light. The house instantly became more welcoming and had a front door to match the grandeur of the rest of the house.
At the rear, we took on a huge double-storey extension to maximise space inside the property. The ground floor became a spacious open-plan kitchen and diner, perfect for family meal times. On the first floor, the master bedroom received a substantial size upgrade, allowing for a luxurious ensuite installation.
The previously lifeless garage was reinvigorated as a games room, making use of space that had long been wasted. The new setup is the ideal social space for guests.
Finally, we completely overhauled the external aesthetics with external rendering that showcased the home’s new lease on life. This sleek design doesn’t just enhance the style; it improves the property’s insulation and saves on energy costs.
